2nd BRNO SUMMER ZOUK CAMP with Ludek, Pavla, Monika & guests!

Intensive training dance camp for highly addicted zoukers!!! ;)

• are you in love with zouk and do you want to significantly increase your dance level?
• are you the zouk teacher and do you want to improve in terms of both knowledge and skills?
• would you like to finally understand all those zouk techniques and styles and enjoy social dancing more than now?
• are you able to leave your comfort zone and work really hard?

If you have got some YES answers, then come and learn from the creators of Brno zouk scene, one of the biggest in the world!!! :-)

We have for you 2 blocks (4 days each) of:

• unique L&P methodology about zouk technics, styles and musicality
• intensive technical workshops with individual approach
• professional lectures on various dance topics
• thematically oriented lessons with guest teachers
• unusual (but so important) dance themes like psychology of couple dancing, basics of anatomy..
• balanced mix of theory, workshops and practices
• interesting program, relax, trips, new friends and mainly..lots of fun :-)

BRAZILIAN ZOUK - TRADITIONAL STYLE
• general dance technique for zouk
• complex system of steps, figures, routines in BZ
• detailed explan of leading/following rules & techniques
• rhythm-musicality-counting in all possible ways
• Brazilian zouk history & evolution

Friday 3rd August:
• 18:00-20:00: Welcome meeting in our wine cellar
• 20:00-01:00: Welcome party (regular zouk party)

Saturday 4th August:
• 10:00-11:00: coffee&stretching&warm-up
• 11:00-12:20: wshp: general dance technique for zouk (center of gravity, body posture, step technique/coordination, contrabody movement…)
• 12:30-14:00: wshp: figural zouk base (basic steps, lateral, right/left side boomerang, types of openings, basic turns…)
• 14:00-15:30: LUNCH
• 15:30-16:45: theory: history&evolution of br.zouk (system, styles, names, influences…)
• 17:00-18:30: wshp/practice: zouk flow, rolling off the feet
• 21:00-03:00: summer zouk party in Stolarna 

Sunday 5th August:
• 10:30-11:30: coffee&stretching&warm-up
• 11:30-12:50 wshp: philosophy of couple cooperation (connection, leading&following, push/pull, timing..)
• 13:00-14:30: theory: music(ality)- (structure of the song - beat/measure/sentence, beats/instruments/voices, kinds of rhythm, connection music->dance style, energy of the song…)
• 14:30-15:00: LUNCH
• 15:00-16:50 wshp/practice: typical zouk body movements (ondas, head, hips, isolations…)
• 17:00-18:30: wshp/practice: rotations in zouk,spinning technique
• 20:00-24:00 Sunday zouk party (proper party of Brno zouk crowd)

Monday 6th August:
• 10:00-12:00: Monday brunch at Coffee Trail
• 13:00-14:20: wshp/practice: leading&following
• 14:30-15:30: practice: afternoon zouk drill
• 15:30-17:00: LUNCH
• 17:00-18:00: wshp: intermediate zouk variation
• 21:00-23:00: Practise with Zoukmania dance group (advanced dancers from our community)

Tuesday 7th August:
• 10:00-11:00: coffee&stretching&warm-up
• 11:00-12:20: wshp: advanced zouk variation
• 12:30-13:30: practice
• 13:30-15:00: LUNCH
• 15:00-16:00: questions-answers-discussion
• 16:00: hugs, tears, the end of the 1st block

BRAZILIAN ZOUK - STYLES
• evolution of BZ to different zouk styles
• adaptation of zouk movements to other music styles
• specific movements and rhythmical variability of lambazouk
• new styles - influence of contemporary, jazz, hiphop, funk, wcs and other dance and musical styles
• advanced body shaping, head and body movements
• rhythm-musicality-counting-beats-melody-instruments-vocals-creativity-sensuality-energy-flow-bounce-feelings-mood.... :-)

Wednesday 8th August:
• during the day outdoor program for participants of both blocks - wine, food, swimming, relax, beautiful nature of southern Moravia.... :-)
• 21:00-23:00: Welcome meeting in our wine cellar

Thursday 9th August:
• 10:00-11:00: coffee&stretching&warm-up
• 11:00-12:20: wshp: anatomical tools for dancing/zouk, horizontal and vertical control of body movement
• 12:30-14:00: wshp: lambazouk (definition, technical background, specific movements, rhythm&musicality)
• 14:00-15:30: LUNCH
• 15:30-16:45: theory: evolution of BZ to different zouk styles (names of styles, music&other dance styles influences)
• 17:00-18:30: wshp/practice: advanced body movements (shaping, head&body movements, isolations)

*** (21:00-0:00: Regular WCS & Tango party in 2 halls, you can join if you want)

Friday 10th August:
• 10:00-11:00: coffee&stretching&warm-up
• 11:00-12:20: wshp: hiphop/rnb/funk influence into zouk (music background, dynamics of movement, styling)
• 12:30-14:00: wshp: hiphop/rnb/funk - zouk-usable movements, rhytmical expression, short routine)
• 14:00-15:30: LUNCH
• 15:30-16:45: theory: musicality (various music styles in BZ, rhythms&counting-beats/instruments/vocals, adaptation of the zouk movement to different music styles)
• 17:00-18:30: wshp/practice: flow, energy, bounce
• 20:00-01:00: regular zouk party in Stolarna

Saturday 11th August:
• 10:00-12:00: Saturday brunch at Coffee Trail
• 13:00-14:20: wshp/practice: contemporary influence into zouk (music background, creativity)
• 14:30-15:30: practice: afternoon lambazouk drill
• 15:30-17:00: LUNCH
• 17:00-18:00: wshp: advanced lead&foll. techniques
• 20:00-21:00: video analysis of different zouk styles world famous couples/dancers
• 21:00-03:00: bachata&zouk party (2 halls, party connected with other bachata event)

Sunday 12th August:

• 11:00-12:20: wshp: smart zoukers guide in current zoukstyle galaxy :-)
• 12:30-13:30: wshp/practice: technique or feelings? BOTH! (energy, couple connection, energy, dialog..)

• 15:00-16:00: questions-answers-discussion
• 16:00: hugs, tears, the end of the 2nd block

IMPORTANT NOTE !!!
To maintain the high quality of workshops and possibility of individual approach, the capacity of the zouk camp is LIMITED to 15 leaders and 15 followers for each block

ACCOMMODATION:
You can sleep in our dance school :-) It means on the floor, we have some yoga matraces, showers and there will be some fee for the costs about 6 euro per night

FOOD:
We will manage food delivery to our dance school, you will have possibility to choose what you want and the price will depend on what you choose.
