Sydney Zouk dancers, you are invited to join "The Little Gringo", James Quinn-Hawtin, in an immersive evening of workshops.

✔ How to express the "story" of the song
✔ How to know what to do at different moments in the song

These workshops are suitable for beginners and newbies to Zouk. Over 3 hours, James will be fast tracking your skills and welcoming you to the Zouk experience.

Described as "one of the most entertaining instructors in Australia", James Quinn-Hawtin's unapologetically inappropriate wit keeps his growing family of students laughing at Dance Culture, based in Brisbane. He is credited by his loyal students as being fun, clear, cheeky, patient, passionate, surprising and utterly effective.

James is an experienced Zouk instructor who has taught in festivals and workshops around South-East Asia, Australia and the United States and who has choreographed for So You Think You Can Dance Vietnam Edition. He has also facilitated the largest Zouk flashmob group in the world (with over 180 students and 136 performing on the day of the event). The nickname "Little Gringo" came about in 2011 when a Brazilian girl commented, whilst pointing at James, "That little guy over there... he doesn’t dance like the other gringos."

Online passes will then be $55 until the Immersion starts.

Passes will be $60 at the door.

Enrolments will close when passes have sold out.
